The Ngaji Yok application ("the Application") is provided by Usman ("we," "us," or "the Service Provider") as an Ad-Supported Free service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, with a strict commitment to transparency and user privacy.
1. Information Collection and Use
While the Application is built with a "Privacy-First" architecture, we use specific third-party services to provide core functionalities and maintain the service.
A. Precise Location Data
- Purpose: To calculate accurate Islamic prayer times and determine the Qibla direction based on your exact position using the Adhan library.
- Handling: Coordinates are processed locally on your device. While stored in the device's DataStore for offline use, this data is never uploaded to our personal servers.
- Third-Party: Shared with Google Play Services only for geocoding purposes (identifying city names for display).
B. Device Identifiers & Analytics
To improve user experience and app stability, we use Firebase (Google Inc.):
- Firebase Analytics: Tracks anonymous usage patterns (e.g., tracking Quran reading progress).
- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous technical logs to fix app crashes and performance issues.
- Firebase Remote Config: Manages app versions and mandatory Force Update notifications.
- Firebase In-App Messaging & Cloud Messaging (FCM): Displays religious quotes (Mutiara Hikmah) and handles adzan trigger fallbacks.
C. Advertising & Consent Management (AdMob & UMP)
- GDPR & UMP: We have implemented the User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, this manages your preferences for personalized advertising.
- Ad Logic: Ads are configured to be non-intrusive and are automatically blocked during prayer times (20 minutes before until 10 minutes after).
- Data Collected: AdMob may collect advertising IDs (AAID), IP addresses, and device information for fraud prevention and ad frequency capping.
D. Worship & Activity Tracking (Local Only)
- Amalan Tracker: The Application tracks your daily worship progress (5 prayers, Quran reading, Dzikir). This data is stored 100% locally in the Android App Sandbox and is never transmitted to any server.
2. Device Permissions (Android 14 & 15 Compliance)
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM: To trigger Adzan alerts exactly at prayer times, even in Doze Mode.
- FOREGROUND_SERVICE & MEDIA_PLAYBACK: To ensure uninterrupted Murottal (Quran audio) and Adzan playback.
- REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS: To prevent the system from killing background adzan tasks on certain device manufacturers (OEMs).
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To deliver prayer reminders and Mutiara Hikmah quotes.
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: To calculate prayer times and Qibla accuracy.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restore prayer alarms automatically after a device restart.
- VIBRATE & WAKE_LOCK: For digital Tasbih feedback and ensuring the device wakes up for Adzan.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google AdMob & UMP SDK
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Messaging)
- Google Play Services
- EveryAyah.com — Public repository for streaming Quran audio. No personal data is shared with this provider.
4. Data Security & Storage
- App Sandbox: Your worship progress (Bookmarks, Amaliah records) is stored within the Android App Sandbox, making it inaccessible to other applications.
- No Personal Info: We do not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, or financial information.
5. Children's Privacy
Ngaji Yok is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. AdMob is configured to comply with family-friendly ad standards and COPPA.
6. User Control
- Revoking Access: You can disable location or notification access at any time in Android Settings.
- Data Deletion: Uninstalling the Application or using Clear Data in Android Settings will permanently erase all local worship records, bookmarks, and settings.
